04.23.2020 UPDATES

Dear Twin Buttes Patient Family and those concerned,

Colorado’s Governor Polis has lifted his restriction and now Twin Buttes Dental is returning to treating elective procedures.  Business will return to normal per the current state of affairs May 4th, 2020.  We will return to work under guided and super-charged infection control protocols, as well as, scheduling to minimize any occupancy in our waiting room.  You will be screened for the covid-19 virus prior to your appointment via our appointment confirmation call and on site.  Please stay tuned for additional updates.  We are excited to see everyone again and you can rest assured that you will be returning to a safe and comfortable environment!

Our office is now closed to all elective treatment until, at minimum, April 14th, 2020.

We are providing treatment for emergency situations.  This is defined by any oral condition eliciting pain, discomfort, or anxiety.  If you have a concern or a question please leave us a voicemail and we will return your message promptly. Or, please feel free to call me directly on my cell phone.  I am here for you, do not hesitate to call if need be.  We will be blocking in specific hours of operation to handle treatment.  Currently, appointment hours exist on Tuesday, March 24th, and Wednesday March 25th but are subject to change or extend depending upon need.   Please call to schedule if you are experiencing pain.  Please refer to our voicemail, website, or facebook page for updates.  Thank you for your understanding and again check in to receive updates as they come.

03.18.2020 UPDATES

Dear Twin Buttes Dental patient family,

These are trying times for all of us in respect to the current state of affairs in our community and nation.  Rest assured, we (Twin Buttes Dental) are taking a very PROACTIVE approach as we move forward and will do so in an optimistic and compassionate manner.  We are closely following updates from the CDC and ADA on the national level and CDA, DORA, and SJBH on the state and local level.  We are following their recommendations as well as implementing additional precautions to limit exposure and transmittance of the novel COVID-19 virus.  Ultimately we care for you, our patient family, and our community and feel it is important to communicate our response. Below you will find a brief outline of examples we are currently employing in addition to standard OSHA policies in our practice in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

-We are suggesting to reschedule all elective treatment for those individuals that are immunocompromised.  This includes individuals more compromised and susceptible to COVID-19 due to heart disease, Diabetes, and lung disease.  We will certainly be treating dental emergencies. Please call with any questions.

-If an individual has been traveling internationally, we are not scheduling until you have returned to the United States and are symptom-free for 14 days (the CDC suggested safe incubation period)

-Individuals who present any of the primary symptoms of COVID-19 we are not scheduling elective treatment until symptoms have regressed.  These include 1) FEVER 2) MYALGIA/Fatigue 3) Restricted Breathing/Dry Cough. *We are certainly taking care of emergencies-please call with questions

-Individuals who have visited Summit, Pitkin, Eagle, and El Paso counties within the last week need to be back in La PlataCounty for a minimum of 14 days symptom-free before scheduling.  *Unless you have a dental emergency. Again please call with any questions

– We are reducing aerosols by limiting the use of ultrasonics in our office

-We are removing all magazines, coffee, décor, and kids’ toys from the waiting room in an effort to create an optimum sterile environment where we can disinfect all flat surfaces.
