Prosthodontics is one of the nine dental specialties recognized by the American Dental Association (ADA).  A prosthodontist is trained to treat individuals with missing teeth or severely compromised dentition through the use of various prostheses for the mouth.

You may need to see a Prosthodontist if:

  • You have been referred by your general dentist due to the complexity of your dental needs
  • You are considering dental implants or have had complications from implant treatment
  • You are experiencing problems chewing due to your bite, badly worn teeth, or trouble with your dentures
  • You are missing teeth due to decay, accidents, or surgery
  • You are unhappy with the appearance of your teeth

What is a Prosthodontist?

  • Comprehensive Care
    – repairs and restores natural teeth with a variety of fixed or removable prosthetic options
  • Long-Term Solutions
    – plans, surgically places and restores prosthetic root replacements (implants)
